Summer tends to be a time when little knitting gets done, its been very long since my last blog late in June. Now that the autumn has come its time to start using the knitting machines again. I love the colours of summer and this weeks blog and design is inspired by the wonderful colours of nature. The Icelandic glacial waters take on quite unique almost not blue and yet not white colour in the summer sun. The colour of the scarf in this blogs design reminds me of some of the glacial water that I have been to see this summer in the Icelandic countryside. The scarf is knitted on the Passap Duomatic trying out some of the patterns and possibilities that come with this knitting machine. Even though it makes beautiful even edges and a very nice cast on I have chosen to crochet a lace edge around as a finish. The yarn was 150 g Elsa from Yeoman yarn .
