I don't think that I have ever met a 4-6 year old that is not fascinated by dinosaurs, and well perhaps not only that age is. I have a pamphlet with dinosaur designs by Irish Bishop. I find that these work quite well on sweaters and pants. One of them is a Mini brontosaurus. Brontosaurus had a long, thin neck and a small head adapted for a herbivorous lifestyle; a bulky, heavy torso; and a long, whip-like tail. The species lived during the Jurassic epoch in North America, Adult individuals of Brontosaurus are estimated to have weighed 15 tonnes and been 22 metres long. Brontosaurus is one of the best-known dinosaurs and has been featured in film, advertising and now on my machine knitted clothes. I have earlier used this Mini brontosaurus pattern to knit pants for another little friend of mine
This spring I made a nice cotton sweater using this pattern. I used my knitting calculator to get the size that I wanted. The knitting calculator is only in Icelandic for the time being, but I will be translating it to English and setting it up on this page shortly. I use the knitting calculator for sweaters and jackets, pants, socks and hats to calculate stitches and rows from measurements and tension based on a basic patterns, the sweater and jacket with drop shoulder. I will post a blog about using the knitting calculator when I have it up and running on this page.
Late spring in Iceland is rather cold, now in the beginning of May we are on nice and sunny days up to 10°C and almost always some breeze and when the sun is not out its even colder so it is nice to have a good cotton sweater to wear during this time.
