Spring cleaning

Its spring time, easter is coming up next week and the sun is shining so brightly showing all the dust that gathers in the window sills and on shelves so clearly and its time for spring cleaning. I first encountered knitted dish cloths almost 20 years ago when visiting the sister of my mother in law, in Denmark. She knitted the finest cotton dish cloths, hers came in all kinds of colours in very fine cotton yarn, knitted with #2 needles and were so delicate. I brought home a few and instructions on how to make them, but somehow hand-knitting very fine cotton never was my thing so over the years the wonderful dish cloths just got used up and I never made new ones instead. Until now, machine knitting the finest cotton dish clothes is super-easy, and they are so much better than those that you buy in the stores. These are perfect for the season, white with small yellow stripes reminding you of easter and spring.

Design: Dish cloth

This dish cloth is knitted with tuck stitch and Brother punch card #2 that came with my knitting machine. It is knitted with white Anna & Claras cotton yarn, and some rests of yellow cotton yarn.
