Cast on with WY knit at least 20 rows, knit one row with rawel cord. I find that knitting a lot of rows of waste yarn helps to get the lace pattern working properly in the beginning i.e. without dropped stitches.
Cast on using e- wrap and knit four rows before starting the lace pattern.
Knit 600 rows, stop the lace pattern knit 4 rows and finish with a row with tension 10 waste knit with several rows of WY and take the scarf off the machine. Remove the rawel cord and cast loosly off.
